Recycled Treasures

EMERGENCY REFERRALS

 

1.) Recycled Treasures will fill emergency referrals as possible given our stock with a documented crisis such as:

  • fire
  • eviction
  • prison release
  • domestic violence
  • new immigrants
  • other - please explain emergency and show proof

2.) Referrals are for vital items and substitutions are at the discretion of the Recycled Treasures staff.

3.) Recycled Treasures staff will offer a choice, if possible, for furniture items, but will not fill referrals with high-end items. (For example, an antique dining table will not be used to fill a referral for a kitchen table.)

4.) Two large items per referral (excluding beds), with documented emergency.

5.) Bed frames are not included in bed referrals.

 

A waiting list is set up for appliances. Those with a referral get first preference. Those with no referral have to pay a $25 delivery charge.

 

(NOTE: All referrals must come from a partner agency. Low-income is not an "emergency." Agencies must contact the Executive Director first before sending clients for the first time. Referrals must be printed on referring agency letterhead.)
