Recycled Treasures

COMMUNITY COMMITMENT

Recycled Treasures recognizes that the downturn in the economy is making it hard for low-income families to survive. We are pledging to help as long as we can through a discount program for residents of Hamtramck, Highland Park and Detroit.

Starting August 13, 2008, all residents of Hamtramck, Highland Park and Detroit automatically get 25% off all purchases over $10 and Harvest House food pantry members get 50% off all purchases over $10. (Shoppers must show ID and current Harvest House card to qualify and discounts are for essential items only.)

To those who might want to help Recycled Treasures with its pledge to help low-income families – you can volunteer, or donate furniture or household items or write a check to Recycled Treasures and send it to 12101 Joseph Campau,  Hamtramck MI 48212 or call 313-330-7076. Donations are tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.

(For those who don’t know, Harvest House food pantry is a program of Friendship House located at 9540 Conant in Hamtramck. This program provides supplemental food for low-income families and individuals in the 48212 zip code. To sign-up, call Friendship House at 313-871-7443.)
